Hello, and thanks for being here! I’m a picture book illustrator and art educator. One of my favourite memories growing up was stapling piles of paper together to make my own books - a love of storytelling and creating that has stayed with me ever since. This passion led me to study Illustration at the Ontario College of Art and Design and to build a picture book collection that is now (very happily) overflowing.
My illustrated books include Outside, You Notice, which earned a starred review from Kirkus Reviews, and Sun in My Tummy, a finalist for the Norma Fleck Award for Canadian Children’s Non-Fiction. My sixth illustrated book, Heartbeat, Wingbeat, written by Jen Lynn Bailey and published by Groundwood Books, will be released in February 2027. I love bringing humour, charm, and heart to my work, with a focus on expressive, emotive characters. I especially enjoy capturing a child’s point of view - seeing the world with curiosity, honesty, and imagination.
I live in Toronto with my husband (my art critic) and our two daughters, who also love to draw. I’ll sometimes let them share my books… as long as they meticulously wash their hands and promise to be careful!
